Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
A few weeks ago I went to a trade show and picked up some things I had been wanting. A dryer, a pair of blending scissors, a pair of curved scissors and a new blade for my clippers. Finally got to put them to use over the week-end. I love the blending scissors. Particularly on AnnaBelle as her hair grows in so many different directions. The curved scissors were great on the head area as well. We had to take it slow with the drier as AnnaBelle wasn't too fond of it. I didn't get it to actually dry them, but to just knock a lot of the water out of their hair when they come out of the tub. Although I really love the way that she looked before I started, I can always tell when it is time for a little trim when 5 seconds after you brush her she looks like she hasn't been brushed in a week. Here are a few before and after pics.
Before --- This really is my favorite look.
Getting ready to start.
Bath Time
Outside for some play time an drying in the warm sun
All finished.

Great job....I am impressed!!! Could you please share what size blade (was it an Oster?) and blending scissors did you use? I have been trimming Monty's face and the top of his head.....but that is it. He has beautiful long wavy hair, so I don't want to cut it too short....only a trim. Again....you did GOOD!! :)
Debi -- Thanks. The new blade I bought was an Andis blade 10SE (the SE stands for Show Edition). Then I used a 1" comb over the blade. I intend to buy the stainless steel comb set but haven't done it yet. They were out of them at the show. The plastic one works fine though. The scissors I bought were Heritage brand. The number on the blening ones is C-MON 07848. I bought them at the Groomers Mall which has an online site. Both of the scissors were in the $50 range price wise. I think I got $5 off of each because I bought 2 of them.
Thank you so much. I will need to look into this. Belle is beautiful, by the way! Monty would LOVE her! ha ha!
AnnaBelle looks terrific! Great job! Your yard is such a perfect playground for your doodles!
