Please advise on the best scissors to buy for grooming.

Need advice on what are the best moderate priced scissors for grooming.  I have to groom my dood myself.  She is letting me do it now....previously we needed to knock her out at the vets office and she would get shaved down.  Always hated to do it.  We worked on her slowly to use to my (crappy) scissors now and is letting me do it.  So I need sharper and more suitable scissors to be able to do it correctly.  What can anyone suggest, I have seen a lot of different styles.  Some are way to expensive.

I thought there were discussions about this in the grooming group. I have to say I use my haircutting shears that I use for my husband. haha I don't know about the brands here, but pretty sure it has been discussed.

I have Ed Geib, both the thinning shears and regular scissors. I ordered them from Amazon for around $60 each. They are good quality at a decent price.

Yes, scissors are priced very differently.  I would suggest a pair of scissors from a pet store or maybe even a beauty supply store.  Try them out for the fit and get the ones that feel best in your hands.  You will spend many hours clipping away and it is important to have a comfortable pair.  I prefer my Fiscars Softtouch, but my husband uses scissors from his clipper set.  The Softtouch does not fit around your fingers, it is clasped between the fingers and the thumb.  Works for me.

The only scissors I could recommend are from Chris Christensen and Geib. They are the best I've found.
