HAVING A PROBLEM WITH TICKS. ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR KEEPING THEM AWAY FROM OUR DOODLES? ALSO, HAS ANYONE USED A PET SAFE PESTICIDE FOR THE YARD THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND?

We have been using Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth - it is an Organic Crawling Insect Killer derived from  fossilized hard shelled algae - it is harmless to pets and humans - as long as you do not breath in the dust.  We apply to the entire yard using a speader on a morning when there is lots of moisture on the grass- while wearing a particulate respirator.   We really feel it helps in our area where deer on seen running in our yard and people suffer with Lyme.  I really believe it helps keep the ticks and mosquitos under control and we never have flea problems.  For walks around town - we immediately come home and come her out with a fine tooth comb and always find ticks.
