We live in North Georgia and have been having some pretty cold weather lately but Zeke acts like he's burning up all the time. He came to us in June and suffered through the summer with the occasional home trim but has never been professionally groomed. I'm thinking it would be a kind thing to do to really trim him back since he is so heat sensitive. No more lying on the air conditioning vents! Here is a picture of my wooly boy in all his glory.
Hi Susan, I trim my Sydney pretty short in the summer. He seems to like and becomes much friskier. My doodle Dude has short lab hair and he loves to lay on the vent too. Your dogs are adorable. Cindy, doodle and Sydney.
Bella is growing her coat back after a short clip during the summer when she got mats during the dreaded coat change! She is also heat sensitive and living in Georgia makes it hard in the summer but she seems to be ok with the lower temps and has a coat of about 3 to 4 inches. She hates brushing, wants to make it play time and keeps my arm in her mouth when she is not turned over giving bunny kicks so she may get another clip anyway if she starts matting. I always hear of how everyone else grooms their own doodle and brushes daily. I would love to do that but she is just out of control with the brushing, wish they I could find a trainer that could help with her! Any suggestions!!!
