Clicker training never ceases to amaze me. The hardest things become so easy to accomplish with the clicker (or appropriate word) and a great reinforcer. I have been able to train Haley to have his nails trimmed with the Dremel which he was initially afraid of. Also, he lets me comb the hair on his paws which he hated to have done. Today I gave him a bath and was stuck with a very wet Doodle and needed to do stuff in the house. Out came the clicker, cheese, hair dryer and comb. In less than five minutes I was blow drying and combing him. He loved every minute of the experience. And, I was able to take a dry Haley to the house in 20 minutes.

Very cool Ann! Thanks so much for sharing some of your success with us!
We are going to start with clicker training and I was thrilled to read your post. My husband and kids are skeptical but I know our little puppy will catch on quickly. At what age did you start clicker training?
We started with Spring Training in April. Haley was between 4 and 5 months old. I was a little skeptical too but the discussions in Spring Training helped a lot. I wish I had known about clicker training 14 years ago with my last dog before Haley. Good luck.
