Asking Blake to share toys means big trouble in my house! You may be able to reason with a child and get the child to "play nice" and "share" with other kids but convincing your dog to do this is another story.....Like a true 3 year old child, Blake has actual temper tantrums!.......Any one else have this issue?
Ginger gets like that but only with Milk Bone dog Biscuits. She will usually just hold it in her mouth and not let another dog near her. Sometimes she will eat it but more ofter will leave it somewhere and forget about it. She doesn't do it with food, toys or anything else. It's very weird.
Peri is terrible about this! The funniest part is she will give a toy to Taquito and will then bark ballistically until she gets it back. We have 4 skinneeez toys and she doesn't like Taquito to have even one of them! But she is the one that dangles it over the edge of the couch to entice him :)
Thalie will not let Gamine have a toy in her mouth without trying to get it for herself. She will share, sometime, with us to play... (yes! she start to really play with us) but she will not let Gamine have it.
On the other side, Gamine will tease her little sister by waking around her with some of Thalie's toys and escape when Thalie try to grip it. it is very funny to see them play like that.
Lyric has to have everything that Mattie has and has to sniff anythng Mattie sniffs, etc etc. She just uses her size (She is about twice Mattie's height) to get what she wants. She is the PRINCESS--Mattie just walks away from her after losing the toy or whatever, so there is no cnflict between the two of them, BUT I feel bad for Mattie because she is so abused! If I go on a little trip, I have been taking her with me when I can so she can have more attention and have some toys to herself!
Gracie is only posessive with her tennis ball. If she knows the dog then she will let them have it but then she will follow them all over until they drop it. She also likes to walk around taunting them with the ball in her mouth. If a new dog or one she hasn't bonded with yet comes near her "baby" then she will give a quick growl and lunge. She will also do this if a male tries to mount her!!!! Don't mess with Gracie Doodle!!
