I am going to bore you with 61 pictures.
He is absolutely adorable, sweet, scared,
SKINNY to the point I feel every rib and vertebrae on his young body, he
STUNK which is a bit better since he had a bath and he has
HUGE feet!!
He is suffering with kennel cough (yes, before you ask Samantha has been vaccinated). You know he will put on weight with Momma Matzkin's home cooking!
He
is starting to warm up a bit - he actually is wagging his tail when I rub his belly. It has only been 6 hours he is here so that is great!
Samantha so far has had very little interaction with him, maybe she understands he is nervous and just not ready for learning the ropes of playing ball. There is always tomorrow!
Jacquie, Karen and Lynne - I can't thank you enough for finding this litle guy for us! I promise you he will have a very, very happy, long life!
Mickey had grown by leaps and bounds! He has gained close to 10 lbs, his confidence level has made huge strides! He still is leary of new things - puppies and people included but give his some time and he warms up real fast. He may outgrow it - only time will tell.
He would barley leave his 'home base' for days. Slowly he would wonder the backyard. Started to play with Samantha. Last night they wrestled - real dog wrestling - teeth, growling - the whole package. What a wonderful time watching them and to see how much he has grown. He sleeps up in our bedroom with Samantha and us - no accidents. He even slept on Samantha's bed last night - big time confidence!!
Mickey is going to his forever home this weekend. He is being adopted by my daughter & SIL, Marissa and Seamus. Marissa is a DK member already. All of us (Mark, me, Samantha, & Charli) will be going with Mickey to Pittsburgh this weekend to help him make the adjustment to his new home. We are going to miss this sweet, loving little boy!
