Lucy is obsessed with ripping anything with a squeaker in it apart to get to it. In return, any soft toy is GONE in about 15 mins. and the squeaker is out. I even quit buying her anything soft for that reason, it is a waste of my hard earned moola. Well, after the last romp we were at I took her shopping at PetSmart and she pick this toy out. I was very hesitant, but after reading about the material, I decided to try it. WELL, it has been since Thanksgiving and here is a picture, very dirty picture, of it and although the squeaker does not squeak anymore, it is still intact she has not been able to chew even the smallest hole in it and she loves it. She plays with it everyday, throwing it up in the air and around like a ball. I would recommend it to anyone. I don't have the name for it, but you can find it at PetSmart and there are many different shapes and colors. The tag says it is made out of CHEW GUARD MATERIAL

This is so cute. I love dinosaurs/dragons. It sure gets my vote. Maybe Ned and Company will get one for Xmas.
I'm impressed, too. Besides a broken squeaker is a good squeaker IMHO.
What a cute photo! It looks like the toy animal is eating from the bowl!
I just picked this toy up from PetSmart, and it is called go Dog made by Sherpa Pet Groups. Here are some of their products: http://www.godogfun.com/products_chewguard

I am hoping Tyson will be like Lucy and not destroy it immediately!
And here's the link to the dragon Karen bought for Lucy.
Maybe we should get an update on the condition of this toy!
I bought this for Chewie based on recommendations and figuring anything that said Chew Guard Technology might stand a chance. Unfortunately, no such luck. He loved it...within five minutes he had chewed off a couple ot the pieces along the spine. Within 1/2 hour or so, it was basically destroyed. It's interesting...when he's chewing on something like this, it often sound like he's chewing on something harder...crunch, crunch. I think he grinds his teeth back and forth and that's what I am hearing...also why he's so successful in his role of destructo-dog!
We have the blue dragon and the pink dragon. They got them for their 1st birthday. They played with them a lot in the beginning, but not to much lately. However, they didn't tear them up either. There have been many toys that they had the stuffing out of very quickly, but this one doesn't have a lot of stuffing to attract them.
Thanks for the update. Ned is pretty good at tearing toys apart but nothing like my DD's lab. So I am always looking for new things for him.
This dragon is made by Go Dog, part of Sherpa Pet Group. There are 3 dragons - one in lime, one in blue and the one above is coral. They also come in a smaller size (minis) - which my guys like to carry around like a "baby." They also have a stegosaurus, triceratops and pteradactyl. Every toy I've seen from Go Dog - and there are many - have Chew Guard technology. ChewGuard is a strong black webbed type of material that is sewn inside the outer fabric to make the toy more durable. The Go Dog toys are not indestructible, but they are strong, durable, washable toys.
If your dog likes to tear out fiberfill, Go Dog makes flatties - soft adorable toys that have NO filling in the body - only the head. They come in cows, sheep/lambs, brown bears, buffalo and several others. Each toy has 5 squeakers, one in each paw and the head.
I work in a dog bakery/boutique and we carry TONS of toys. Go Dog makes some of my favorites. :-)
Tuffies also has a new line of plush toys rated on a 1-10 scale for durability. The strongest ones my guys have had are the hippo and the pig. Although the cow is rated 9, it is not as strong as the other two.

I hope this helps.
One more thing....
Simon my ALD puppy is 7 1/2 months old and like a shark when it comes to chewing....just THAT stage! What I suggest to customers when their dogs are at this stage is when your dog/puppy needs to chew, give them a Merrick GI Bone, bully stick or a strong toy like a West Paw TUX or Orbee Planet Dog Chew toy w/a high durability rating. Use plush/soft toys for interactive play with you.
