I saw the brown one in the middle at the pet shop today. It was like $25.00.  I think they are the comercial version of Nina Ottosson's dog puzzles.

Does anyone have them? If so how does your doodle like them? I think Charlie would love it. I want to get one of them.....

I have looked at these at different times and would also love to hear how other dogs like them.
So many times, I have almost pushed the "add to cart" button for one of these, but wondered if they were really worth it too... I'll definitely be following this, Kyoko. Thanks for posting!
I have one of the wooden (which apparently means more expensive) Nina Ottosson toys. It's called Dog Fighter. Halas really likes it. So I would recommend her toys in general, but I don't know anything specific about the plastic versions. I think they are probably worth a try. Halas' birthday is Sept. 1, so maybe I'll get one of the plastic puzzle toys for him.
How did Halas figure out what to do ?
I finally gave in and bought the "Dog Brick" - the middle one today. Surprisingly, Charlie figured out what to do pretty quickly. We played with it for may to 10 minutes. You can see her thinking and trying to come up with strategies...
I missed your question before about how Halas figured it out. Sorry about that. I'm not sure how he figured it out. He could smell the treat, so I think he just pushed at the block with his nose and pawed at it until it moved out of the way. Just a few minutes ago I posted a video of Halas with his new Nina Ottosson toy. I got him a plastic one this time. It's working just fine, but it isn't as heavy as one made of wood. He paws at it, and he could probably just paw the whole plastic puzzle onto it's side, but I tell him not to. I don't think he'd be able to do that with a wooden one. That's cool that Charlie likes hers. It's fun to watch them figure it out. Are there ways you can make that one a little more difficult? That can add some variety to it.
Yeah, I saw the video! Halas is so smart! I thought that the plastic version may be light weight by watching your video, too. I think Charlie would swat the whole thing down and get the treat!! Dog brick worked out good, because it is flat, you know?
I just remembered that I let him watch me put the treats in the first time. So that helps him figure out how to do it. The other one that Halas has is pretty flat, too. And it's heavy, so the base doesn't move around at all.
