My puppy loves her toy that she got from her breeder. It is a tennis ball with ropes through it that she can grab. So far, it is the only toy that she will fetch! I do not remember the brand name, but you can see it in this pic.

We've only been doing indoor fetch, but Margot likes, in order of preference, her rubber chew toys (Planet Dog/Kong), plush toys, and rope toys, and ChuckIt Indoor Ball. Having her able to hold the whole thing in her mouth and not heavy seems to be the biggest factor in a higher fetching success rate. She likes the rubber ones because they bounce a bunch and are unpredictable. We haven't tried the tennis balls since our breeder said something about the fuzz hurting their teeth(?). Not sure about that, but there were other choices to try.

Jane sent JD a set of these all natural 100% boiled wool balls for his birthday. He loves them, and so do I. They're about the size of a tennis ball, but less abrasive and don't bounce as hard, which makes them great for indoor play. They're also machine washable and chemical free. Highly recommended.
