Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello to everyone.

We are looking into being Doodle owners.  We are a family of four who live in

Midlothian, VA with our two Shih Tzu's.  Over the last year, I (mom) have been

exploring the Goldendoodle breed.  We are contacting breeders and talking with

them about their dogs and the passion they have for this breed.  I know it is a big

jump from Shih Tzu's, but we think a Goldendoodle will fit well in our family.  We have

two teenage sons and we enjoy camping and other outdoor activities.  As you can

imagine our Shih Tzu's (cats trapped in dog suits) are not the out door types.  I would

love a buddy to walk with and take hiking.  We look forward to meeting other Doodle

owners and, of course, becoming  Doodle owners ourselves.

Love all of your posts and the commitment you have to your Doodles.

I am in the Woodlake area and we just brought home Lolli, a seven week old Doodle, on Friday.   I am happy to talk about what we are living anytime!  :)

Hello,
Would love to talk with you about your precious Lolli.
Dawn

Absolutely!  My number is 804.920.9009.  If you live in the area, you can't miss me.  I'm the one driving the big red AVON van.  :D

Well, I have the most awful news.  The breeder notified us last night that our

little boy was diagnosed with a serious heart defect at the vet yesterday.  We

are heart sick for him.  That being said, we will not get to adopt him as the

breeder has opted to seek help from the local vet college for his care.

We are at a loss for what to do now.  She has offered the first male pick in

her newest litter or a refund of our deposit.  Any advise from the GRAD folks

is welcome.  We still want to be doodle parents, but are so sadden by this

little guys situtation.  We had already fallen in love with him.

Thanks,

Dawn
