Sometimes after peeing as Samantha comes up the steps from the yard, she drips urine. It used to be rarely if ever and I have noticed that it can be a coupe of times a week. I am taking her to the vet tomorrow but I wanted to know if anyone else has had the issue.
I was thinking it might be:
dripping from her 'privates' that need to be trimmed
bladder infection
not finishing
Anything else you could add so I go to vet with as much info as possible.
Hmmm.... one of my girls is ADD (well I think so)... it always looks like she is writing her name in the snow.... if you know what I mean. She gets distracted and so she pees every where... not to mention pooping.... when I clean up after her I have to hit a 6' area. Maybe your dog has been distracted and a little sloppy... I hope she is okay.
Thanks for your input - I wish it was that. I 'sneak' to watch her - not distracted - I am hoping she is just in a rush to get back to me (LOL). Too early to call the vet but I will later and gether in today. We are hitting 95 South Friday - going to Florida so I want to make sure all is well so my car doesnt get a trail as she jumps back in.
I took Samantha to the vet today - he wants her to loose a pound, other than that her physical was great. He did take urine from her to run tests and cultures but he doesn't think it is anything other than her moving before she is done. I can work on that once I know the test results are negative. If we weren't going away for a month i would have waited. I am glad we are leaving knowing that she is in good physical condition and we will both loose weight in Florida.
Thanks for your input!!
I think I may have figured out the 'dripping' problem and Nancy may have figured it out for me, I just didn't realize it. My little Samantha just doesn't squat long enought to finish. She doesn't get distracted - she just stands up and goes.
Any thoughts on how I can get her to finish peeing before she she leaves a trail?
