Vet found 3 lumps on Paz?

Hi all, I'm so distraught.  Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue.  This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow.  She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel.  She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess.  I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Charlotte, I'm sorry about the lumps the vet found on Paz. I hope all the tears come back as lipomas. Kona is 8 he has many lumps. One lump appeared before he was 2. It has grown ever since. Vets have taken needle biopsies repeatedly. It is bigger than a grapefruit now. He has several other small lumps on his back, chest and one on his leg. We had a Gokden Retriever who developed lumps as he aged. Please keep us updated.

These appear to be swollen lymph nodes, but just on one side.  I'm just praying he is okay.  We love these babies and I'm just so profoundly upset.

If he has an infection, antibiotics should clear that up. About 1 1/2 years ago the vet biopsied Kona's large lump and it was infected. The course of antibiotics cleared the infection. I just asked the vet to take another sample last week. It remains clear. I'm sorry this is hard. It is always such a worry when our loved ones have a medical issue. I hope you get good news soon.

Thanks Bonnie.....thank goodness for all of my Doodlekisses friends who understand how much we love our babies.  It's just hard to explain how this shakes my entire being.  Thank you everyone for all your prayers.

I know it's hard, but try not to worry. Jack has lumps all over his body, some larger than golf balls. Most of them are benign fatty tumors, but there have been others that were questionable and needed to be removed and/or sent out to the pathologist. Knock on wood, all have come back fine. The fact that the first one is a fatty tumor is a good sign; some dogs are prone to these and very rarely have just one, so chances are the others are also harmless. Try to stay optimistic. :)

Thanks so much.  It appears he has swollen lymph nodes, but she said it could be sign of infection.  I'm an absolute wreck.

So sorry you are dealing with this. Yogi had a lump on the side of his face about a year ago. I know we worry like crazy until we know they are safe. Yogi ended up being fine. Keep the faith.

All of my labs looked like they had a bag of marbles dumped under their skin.  As they got older the more marbles. Bigger and More!

Though, I still worry with each lump especially now that we all know more about dogs.

I'm experienced with dogs with bumps but not exactly like what you are describing. But I do know the stress they can cause. I'm so sorry and  praying for an easily resolved diagnosis for Paz.
