Hi all, I'm so distraught.  Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue.  This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow.  She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel.  She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess.  I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking.  Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

This is the BEST news!

Wow = super good news.  Hang in the Paz!

Whoopee!  This report sounds wonderful!

Sadie just turned 4 and has had numerous lumps. So far just fatty tissue the vet said. Even tonight scratching and petting her I found another one by her tail.,she has had a very bad ear infection for a 3 months. Vet put her on meds and gave her 2 shots and ordered an analysis of her ear. Came back a nasty bacteria, so she goes in every week for meds put directly in her ear., for 6 weeks. She was miserable and feels much better! I hope we can keep the infection away!

Hi Diane, I believe fatty tissue tumors are really common in doodles, so Paz is the exception, not the rule.  I'm sure Sadie will be fine, it's just we love our doodles and worry everytime something unusual happens.  I hope Sadie feels better and the infection clears up.

Hi all, I know I'm neurotic, however, Paz seemed a bit off yesterday, and he vomitted a bit.  I called the vet immediately, and thank goodness, the team is available 24/7, so I brought him to the animal hospital last night for them to determine if there was a problem.  Of course, when we got here he started to wag his tail and act as if nothing was wrong (thank goodness)!  The vet decided to be prudent, and conducted blood tests, an ultrasound and so forth.  THANK GOODNESS everything came back perfect.....no temperature, white blood count normal, no masses and so forth.  They gave him an injection for nausea, and fluids to prevent dehydration.  He's not too hungry, however, has no problem eating his treats.   Pazzie is definitely losing his hair, but I won't tell him!  Hopefully, if this all works, he will grow his hair back......wouldn't it be funny if his hair grows in straight and blond!  Today, one of my colleagues, who loves Paz, is coming for a visit; she is a "healer" and Paz always loves sitting in her office..  She is going to spend time with him and I know we will both benefit by her spirituality and gentle presence; I believe that medicine is just one of many ingredients towards helping Paz, and that prayers and good thoughts are equally as important.  The oncologist told me that he never underestimates the power of prayer, which was wonderful to hear.

Again, I want to urge everyone to make certain they have adequate medical insurance for their beloved dooodles (and all pets).  Since last Friday, the bill has totalled almost $8,000 and Trupanio is paying 90% of the costs,.....such a relief!  It is so reassuring to know my beloved Paz will have access to the best medical care possible rendered by vets who truly love the animals they are treating, and who respect, as well as address the owners' fears and concerns.  I was in such a "state" yesterday, and it was so reassuring to know I could reach the vet team at any time of the day or night!

I'm so grateful you have such wonderful care available for your sweet Paz...from 24 hour vets to praying friends and kosher food. I hope you have a quiet day of rest. You need to take care of yourself too Charley.

Thanks so much.  Pazzie and I are both resting comfortably, so hopefully, it will remain an uneventful day.

sending you both doodlekisses!

I am not sure why I haven't seen your updates all week. They usually appear on my incoming mail. I was concerned. I checked on doodle kisses and there you are. Thinking of you and Paz. Hugs!

Thank you so much.  You have all been so very wonderful.

Wow, you really do have a great team working for Paz! Such a comfort. I'm glad that your healer friend will be paying Paz a visit. My animals work with a healer at times and have really been helped by her work.  I hope Paz's tummy has calmed down by now and you guys have a great day.
