Hi all, I'm so distraught. Paz had a fatty tumor on his side, that had been aspirated and was just fatty tissue. This morning, the vet found 3 lumps on Paz, all on his left side; she aspirated them and sent them to the pathologist and I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow. She said they must rule out lymphoma, and it could possible be a sign of infection, so she also took a complete blood panel. She said they looked like inflammatory cells under the microscope, but she is not a pathologist, therefore would not venture a guess. I'm just an absolute mess; I can't stop shaking. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

This is GREAT NEWS!!! If any dog deserves extra recognition for his therapy work, it is certainly Paz. I am so happy that you will be getting this boost for the expenses of his treatments. Apparently Boot Camp will be held at a health food spa. ;o)
Thank you and you are correct in thinking that Pazzie's version of puppy boot camp will definitely be a health food spa replete with kosher chicken soup, healthy meat loaf made with lean ground sirloin, kale, sweet potatoes and eggs....and so on!
Canyon Ranch for me or for Paz? Even though we live far away, we can feel the big hug!
Oh this is wonderful news and such a great recognition of the contribution that Therapy Dogs like Paz are making.
This is incredible and very fitting! Congratulations! It is really honoring to you both, and makes a challenging situation for you more bearable. There really are silver linings, aren't there? What a beautiful story. I am thrilled that Paz is doing so well!
This is such wonderful news and it couldn't happen to a more deserving doggie.
This is wonderful news Charlotte. Kudos to Petco & Blue Buffalo Foundations for helping Pet Partner dogs with financial expenses when they are ill. The work you and Paz have been doing has helped so many and now it is your turn to get some assistance. Yeah!
Fantastic! I can't think of a more deserving pair!
Hi all, just want to give another good update on Paz; he went for chemotherapy yesterday, and the oncologist said Paz is doing great.....he is cancer free, his lymph nodes are normal, his appetite is above normal and his activity level is that of a 6 month old puppy! His blood levels are really good; his platelets are a bit low which is a side effect of the radiation treatment, however, they are high enough that he could receive chemotherapy. The oncologist said that in some dogs, it takes a bit of time for the platelet levels to return to normal after radiation treatment, and Paz's are beginning to climb, so all is good. Assuming there is no change, in two weeks Pazzie's chemo schedule will go from every week to every other week for 8 treatments and then we are done!!!!! Yaaaay. He will be able to return to work and direct some of this incredible energy, rather that dragging my laundry all over my apartment! His hair is beginning to grow back on the top of his head, so it looks like he has a curly mohawk sprouting out of his scalp....rather funny! Without any hair, Paz still looks like a cute billy goat, so I call him my labragoat! I've discussed with Paz, that he will soon return to eating dog kibble, however, I'm not certain he believes me (this discussion took place while I was filling his bowl with homemade kosher chicken soup, and some sweet potato).....oye very, I think I am in trouble!
