I have a question for you guys.... I don't know if I should be really worried or not. ( Regardless, I am taking Charlie to her vet tomorrow.)

It started Friday morning. On the way to the park in the morning, she threw up what seems to be bile in the car. She was acting normal, pooped normal, so I went to work, and everything was fine, She ate fine, played, barked, etc....

Saturday morning, she threw up again, this time small amount of what looks like digested food. And again bile. Still acting normal, playful, etc.... Pooped fine. So, I fast her until 9 pm.

At 9 pm,  I gave her small amount of white rice and ground turkey. She ate it, and looked fine.

Only thing was that she was looking for grass to eat, and when she threw up bile, it had grass in it.

This morning again, she threw up partially digested rice & turkey, along with grass.

She is still her normal self, acting fine and playful.

But I am sick to MY stomach worring about her.... :-(

I don't think she ate anything that is not mean for food nor gotton into the trash. All of my trash can have lids, and kitchen has a gate. While I am at work, she is in crate.

Is this just a tummy ache?

I don't blame you for worrying, Kyoko, but try to relax. It doesn't sound like an emergency. Hopefully the vet will be able to figure out what's going on with her. I have heard of dogs having stomach viruses.
In the meantime, I would try to make sure she is drinking water so she doesn't become dehydrated. Maybe try giving her some ice if she likes it. I would make her regular food available to her but would not urge her to eat.
I hope Charlie feels better soon. Please keep us posted.
One of my guys (can't remember which now) had a stomach virus a couple of months ago. As Karen said, the Vet was most concerned about dehydration, and asked me to regularly check the gums to be sure they were pink (not white). If you press their gum, the color should return quickly when you let go. She did prescribe anti nausea medication, and other than that we had to wait it out. They went on a bland diet for a couple of days. Hopefully this is what it is....it was completely gone in two days, and the medication seemed to help a lot with the vomiting. Hope Charlie is feeling better soon....try not to worry Mom.
Thank you Karen. That gives me a great comfort. I think I get paranoid since Butter had bloat.... ( I knew this wasn't bloat, though) Hopefully, Dr. Sweeny will be able to get her to feeling better.
I had the same thing happening to Jasper last year . 3 mornings in a row vomiting, but otherwise no other symptomes.
After racking my brains, I remembered buying him chicken necks for 3 lunch treats and he always vomited the morning after. Then I tested it with turkey necks a few weeks later. Same happened. Either they had Salmonella or Jasper is allergic to raw poultry necks, I don't know. But I just feed him bones now for treats.
She must be feeling better and now hungry. She just took my beautiful piece of Cherry Apple Challah bread off the table and ate it!!
I hope she's on the mend. Cherry apple challah, that's a new one to me but sounds good.
Oh Kyoko I am so sorry that Charlie is sick. I know how you feel. It is a GOOD thing that she is playing and acting normal, and that she is not vomiting everything up....I'll be watching to see how the vet visit goes tomorrow. Good luck!
Thank you all for giving me a moral support while I was a wreck. :-)
Well, she went to Dr. Sweeny, and he thinks it is just a stomach irritation of some sort. He said that nothing suggests there is an obstructions or major illness at this point. He gave her a shot to calm her stomach down ( She whined and cried ), and oral medicatin to take for next 5 days. She ate 3/4 cup of bland diet tonight, and I hope she keeps it down.....( Sounds the same as what Guiness and Murphy were treated with.)
I could not tell my supervisor for the honest reason to why I had to take late lunch hour... I told him that my daughter had a doctor's appointment!! Well, it wasn't entirely a lie, was it?
I'm glad it's nothing serious & I hope Charlie feels better very soon.
I don't think you told a lie at all; you're her mom and she did have a doctor's appointment.
She kept the breakfast and lunch down today. Hopefully, she will keep the dinner down, too!!
