I did try to search the site before asking her. I found some information but not what I was looking for. Morganfor the last couple of days starts to throw up water. I can say it is not from gulping down water because this morning she did it as soon as she got up. It looked like a cup full of water running out of her mouth  She is not on any new food or medicine.  After she throws up she is fine.

It's pretty common for some dogs to vomit bile first thing in the morning; it's due to having an empty stomach for too long, and those whose dogs have this issue give them a snack in the evening about 30-60 minutes before bed.

However, bile isn't colorless like water; it's yellow-ish.

Karen thanks for replying. It's not bile it is water.  Can that still happen?

I've never heard of that.

I agree with Charlotte, if Morgan is indeed bringing up gushes of water, she should see a vet.

I would be very concerned that Morgan may be becoming dehydrated. Has she been keeping any water down? Does this happen only in the morning? Is she keeping food down? Where is she drinking from? In other words, is her bowl clean and free of contaminants?

thanks for the answers Karen. I will fill you in on more infor. Morgan only drinks from her water bowl. It is refilled 4 or five times a day. She will not drink  water that has been down. Spoiled. It is washed every time it is refilled. I checked outside when nyou said that for standing water. I did not see any.

I would call my vet and see what the vet has to say....it will probably relieve your mind.

Hi Linda, I just wanted to let you know that Morgan is gorgeous!  How big is she?

I did a little googling and did find this, which confirms that you really should consult a vet:

"When a dog is throwing up water, this is actually gastric juice, which is an acid that helps the digestion process. When a dog throws up gastric juice that is clear and not mixed with any foods, it may be due to the fact that the dog hasn't eaten anything. The dog may have eaten something that irritates his stomach and gets stuck in the intestinal tract. Monitor your pet and see if there are other symptoms. Typically, a dog throwing up water can point to a few medical problems, including thyroid dysfunction, agitation, toxicity, stomach or brain tumors or the swallowing of unusual foods or objects."
