Sandy Hook Romp

Some of us have been discussing a Sandy Hook romp on September 15th. I haven't been to the shore in probably 2 years now. Certainly not since Sandy. Any feedback on Sandy Hook would be helpful. Come one, come all to the annual romp.
UPDATE
I plan to come between 11:30 or 12. People come and go. Of course if it's really raining it won't be on.
Bring plenty of fresh water and a bowl. Something to sit on if you wish. I may bring a sandwich or something. Lots of towels.

We can meet on North Beach. Follow signs to the parking lot and be prepared for a walk to the water.

Soooo wish we could come!  We really enjoyed attending the Sandy Hook Romp a couple years ago.  Meeting great people, a day at the beach, a fun time eating out, and of course the part I'd like to forget...staying at that creepy hotel!

Do come and bring the dogs. Michael had his dog once and Sawyer was not too friendly. he, Sarah and Sawyer spent their time down the beach mostly, the beach is gigantic. We all had a good time anyhow. And you never know.
But either way would be great.

Great photos Anne! That first one would be a great calendar shot.  The beach looks beautiful and it does look nice and deep.

I've been going to Belmar and Bradley Beach so far this year. If no one chimes in on Sandy Hook, I could always take a ride and check it out!

Can we discuss going to Ocean Grove instead of Sandy Hook? Bathrooms and dog friendly restaurants within 1 block not a marathon distance for a human potty break!!

We did talk about it a bit in the Manasquan discussion. I think some of us feel much safer with the depth of the beach and distance from the road at Sandy Hook. To me it's worth the trek. Maybe some others will chime in.
