Thanks so much! I thought so, I've never been on a forum before, and I wasn't sure if you guys were "invited friends" who had non-Rubi pups. How tall is your dog? Who was Charlie's dad? Enjoy the day!

Hi Kelly & Hurley,

Hurley is also gorgeous! Is he from Rubi's litter too?

Thanks!

Hi Melissa & charlie,

Charlie is so beautiful! Is he from Rubi's litter. We're waiting for a pup from her litter due any day now. We also live in Westchester!

betty, i live in westchester. we got charlie from christine in january. charlie has a great temperament. he is very friendly and easy going. very smart too. his fur has grown out a bit since this picture but he pretty much looks the same. and best of all, doesn't shed one bit!

Hi,

I'm on a list to adopt a puppy from Rubi's litter and would love to see some of her past puppies. Also, I'd love to know about their temperament. Hope to join this group!

Thanks!

new york too far to make it to the romp; hope that any/all rubi and jocque siblings will take a picture together so the rest of us who aren't there can see them together!

Hi All,

A friend of mine just sent me this web site. Some good info for the warm weather headed our way...

Here's the e-mail I got about the romp.

Hello again!

Christine Phillips and I are organizing the 2009 Paw Pad Doodle Romp. This year, we are holding it on Saturday, June 13, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and it will be at the same dog park as our previous romps. Click on the following link to the Prairie Wolf forest preserve, and, once you're there, click on the link for the "Dog Exercise Area" to catch up on the dog park rules.
http://www..lcfpd.org/preserves/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.view&object_id=209&type=P

For those of you not familiar with the area, if you are on I-94, and coming from EITHER the north or the south, exit onto Rt. 22 (Half Day Rd.). Go EAST a few miles on Rt. 22 to Rt. 43 (Waukegan Road). Turn left (north) on Rt. 43, and you will soon see the entrance into the Prairie Wolf Dog Exercise Area on your right. If you go beyond it, you will see Old Mill Road on your left, and you'll need to turn around and go back a short distance.

Note that if you and your Doodle live in Lake County, but are not annual members of the Lake County Forest Preserves/Dog Parks, there is still time to sign up (online or by phone) before the Romp. Otherwise, you may purchase a single day permit for the Romp, and there are forms for this in a box at the park. You simply drop in a copy of the completed form, along with the daily permit fee ($5 for Lake County residents; $10 for non-residents - in exact cash or check), and you place the second copy of the form on your dash. Please do this right away, as some folks were ticketed in previous years. Be sure to grab some plastic bags from the dispenser as you enter, and keep an eye out in case your Doodle does duty. We are required to pick up after our dogs.

This particular dog park also has a pond for the dogs to swim in. Fortunately, it's behind an additional gate, so your Doodle will stay dry if that's your preference. They also have water from a well, and water bowls for the dogs, plus, there is a hose for rinsing, should your Doodle need it. You can expect your Doodles' tennis balls to be borrowed or lost, along with their Frisbees, so bring only toys that he or she is willing to lose.

Again, Christine will be joining us, and she has asked that we have our Doodles wear a handkerchief or bandana around their necks, with their names on them, so she will know who they are. You can use liquid fabric paint, or even a permanent magic marker.

We really hope to see your family and your Doodle(s) at the Romp, and until then, you can review last year's Romp photos posted on Christine's website at: http://www.thepawpaddoodles.com/

Feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any questions.

Regards,

Cyndi Hemrich
