Hey, give yourself some time on the photos. Remember, I've had Halas longer than you guys have had your pups. You'll be great at it after you've taken a couple thousand photos of Charlie. They're so photogenic, it's hard to stop taking pics. It's also a little easier once they'll stand still for more than a second. When Halas was really young, I could only get good pics when he was sleeping. I also see a lot of Halas in all of the new pups. I know that doodles in the same litter can turn out very different from each other, so I think it's cool that all of Rubi and Jocque's puppies that I've seen all look pretty similar. And you can see so much in their eyes. They're so expressive.

i love the cut; he is so gorgeous!! and there is something in halas' eyes which totally reminds me of charlie; its that almost human look; you probably cant see it in any of the pictures i have up of charlie; i'm not as good with the photos as you.

Halas was about 17 lbs at 5 months. He weighed in at 26 lbs a couple of weeks ago, and he'll be 20 months old tomorrow (5/1). He was about 22 lbs at 8 months old, so he's only grown 4 lbs in the one year since then.

How old are your puppies now? I want to check Halas' weight at the same age and see how they compare.

If you didn't see it in another discussion, Halas got a real haircut a couple of weeks ago. His fur was 8 inches long in some places, and I had it cut down to about 3 inches. Here's a pic from a few days after the cut. I'm curious to see how long the new puppies get, but Halas' coat didn't really start to get long until he was almost a year old.

for charlie, very easy transition to eating twice a day; i feed him that last meal a little earlier than before.

Lauren, I totally know what you mean about being routine obsessed. It amazes me how Barley has to do the same thing at the same time everyday. When we take him one last time before he goes to sleep, he will run to the freezer and wait for the PB Kong to come out, then he runs into his crate and sits and waits for us to give it to him. Are dog walker always comments about how obsessive he is with his routine. I guess it is a good thing :)

tugg has been doing the same as charlie. we mix in a spoonful of wet food with his dry food. he's still eating three times a day (1.5 cups total, also). i'm thinking of switching him to twice a day soon. how was the switch for anyone who has already done it? was it an easy transition? tugg is very routine obsessed and i have a feeling that even if i give him extra during breakfast he'll have a little melt down when he realizes lunch isn't happening.
