thanks everyone for the advice; very helpful! charlie never loves that sweet potato and trout dry food; my vet suggesting mixing in a little wet food so now we add about spoonful of that to the dry; he likes it so much better he licks the bowl clean every time; made me wonder if he needed "more" food; but it sounds like the 1 1/2 cups is still the right amount.

Barley is still 15.3lbs! He is getting much taller, but not wider!

We still feed Barley 3 times a day-1/2 cup each serving. We feed him the dry Pinnacle food still, and as a treat (when we need him to go in his crate) we found the same sweet potato and trout as a wet food, which we put in his Kong and he is obsessed with! Our vet told us we can keep feeding his this amount for a while.

just weighed charlie and looks like he is about 17 pounds too.
am wondering how much you all are feeding your puppies now?
i went down to 2 meals a day but am still feeding him about 1 1/2 cups a day. although he is growing i am wondering if that is enough because he is so much bigger now. let me know what you all are doing please! thanks.

Hi everyone, Took Reiily to the vet last Friday he weighted in at 17 pounds..Didn't have him neutered..my daughter is visting from California with her puppy..and just decided it would be too hard to try and keep Rielly quite..it has been so much fun to have 2 puppies..they tier each other out and the 2 playing has been nostop entertainment..makes me want another puppy!!!

We had a pen originally and it came up to just below my waist. Tugg is a master escape artist, though, and would scale the wall! It had the diamond hole pattern throughout so he was able to get his paws in and climb up and then jump over. Now, we just use his crate. I'll probably go back to a baby gate, eventually. A Tugg proof baby gate. :)

Does anyone have a pen for their puppy? If so, how high is yours?

Yes, he looks so funny! We've been calling him Sir Lancelot. He already woke up curlier today, though.

i think barley and tugg look so cute groomed; i will have to take charlie soon; he's a little smelly for sure.

and charlie loves to watch tv too; and he has a night light too! so funny how much they all have in common.

We are getting Barley neutered on May 15. Our vet wanted us to wait till he was closer to 20 lbs. I am looking forward to getting it over with!!

Lauren, don't they look so funny when they first get groomed? I thought Barley looked like he had a mullet, but within in a week it was back to the crazy hair! Not to mention, things are much cleaner now that he got the sanitary clip.

Melissa, I liked the name Charlie too!!! Bo is cute, but he is no GD. And about the barking, Barley barks at the TV all the time (we no longer can watch the dog whisperer, bu he loves to watch Dancing with the Stars, he just stares at the tv) We also have a night light in his room, which he will bark at randomly, such a goofy pup!
