hi again! it's the third photo on my page. the one where he is lying down with the sock and has a very concerned look on his face. :) he's very fluffy right now but the groomer said he should be a bit curlier again by tomorrow.

i do think this breed likes to bark for attention;

lauren your comments about other dogs is interesting; totally possibly he is hearing something; we also have coyotes outside; maybe he hears them...

charlie's vet doesn't believe in neutering until they are a bit older so we are still waiting on that...

he can barely see thru his eyes but i love the way it looks so we still have cut nothing; you can check out his most recent picture; you will all think he needs a trim (i think its the second one in my photos)

barley looks so cute with his cute! lauren, post some pictures of tugg, maybe that will help me be brave and get charlie a trim.

lastly, charlie and i are both really offended that the obama;s changed their new puppy's name! we think charlie is a great name!!!

Reilly barks in the morning after he hears us being up and wants to be let out of his crate.. He sometimes barks in the middle of the nite and I take him out and he has a pee then back in the grate until morning He will also bark if we have the T V on and another dog is barking.
I was wondering has anyone set up their appt to get their little guy neutered..we're scheduled to go this Friday..I'm a little hesitent because they will put him under..the vet said they would do a blood panel before to make sure he could go under..it's just sooo scary!!

Hi there! No barking in the crate or at people but Tugg gets a bit loud when he's with other dogs. So far, his reflection elicits the most barking and, unfortunately, he sees his reflection all the time. :)

Are there other dogs in your neighborhood that bark at night? Maybe he hears another dog?

In other news, we just got Tugg the sanitary cut that Barley got. He smells lovely! They parted his hair straight down the middle and fluffed him up. He looks ridiculous but oh, so cute.

Hey Melissa,
No barking in the crate right now. But he does bark SO much more than he did before. Esp when we are out for walks he barks at every person he sees. He also barks at people when they are in the elevator with us (SO obnoxious!!). We tried spraying him with a water bottle, seems to help a bit, but I can't bring it with me where ever we go...ha. We think he picked up the habit from going to the dog park. I really hope he is just in a phase!

charlie had been sleeping in the crate well since the beginning (well almost the beginning). lately he wakes up in the middle of the night barking like crazy. doesn't seem like he needs to go out; we haven't changed his meals or anything...anyone else puppy doing the same thing? any suggestions? his bark has gotten sooo much louder!!

we finished puppy class a couple weeks ago, we plan on enrolling him in the advanced class in a month or so.
We got Barley groomed today! We just got the sanitary clip and some clean up around his eyes. I posted a picture on my site. He did really well, we made sure to tire him out before went!

Haha! Oh goodness. I just want to preface this by saying Tugg was the largest in the litter and I swear we are not over-feeding him. Had the check up today - 16 pounds!! I asked the vet about his weight and was told he wasn't overweight and actually seemed a bit skinny. So, I guess he's just a large guy! I don't think we will have a 25 pounder. :)

He's lost his two front teeth so far and has been doing great with his puppy classes - almost done. Has anyone signed up for a post puppy kindergarten class, yet? They offer two where we are - a basics class and a tricks class. I'm thinking we should do the tricks class because it seems like the basics class is more of a kindergarten refresher...

Rielly had his 4 month check-up and he weighed in at 13lbs 3 so it sound like their all about the same weight..I'm with you Melissa 25 lbs would be a ideal size.I guess time will tell...
