Goldendoodle Grooming in Vegas?

Looking for a good and inexpensive groomer for my Goldendoodle, preferably in the NW part of town?

Any suggestions?

Zen Dog Spa at Blue Diamond and Decatur gave Toby a horrible "helmut" shaped head. (Glad that grew out!) Bone Appetit in Southern Highlands shaved him, saying he had too many mats. (He looked like a plucked chicken - eek!) So now I bathe and scissor cut him myself. We're both much happier.

I agree with Pat... Shannon is worth the drive and she has specials too. Usually 20% off of a first groom. Then her gal's will give you a call when they have other specials. She will do whatever style you want and wants to know how YOU would like them groomed. She knows the difference between a poodle cut, teddy bear cut, etc. She treats them like one of her own. Eva

I've had good luck at the Barking Lot - on the east side though... Tropicana near Sandhill.   They're open 7 days, which is great for me!

I take my Doodle to Best In Show on West Sahara.  Jamie is the owner, she grooms a ton of Doodles & is fantastic!!

I recently went to Shannon from Wag N Tails at her new location called FOXY HOUND and was VERY pleased. She was very genuinely nice to Chloe and I, and she has been in the business for 20 + years.

Her new location is at Wigwam & Eastern in the Smiths shopping center. I highly recommend her and her shop!

DO NOT GO TO TAILS A WAGGIN IN SEVEN HILLS!!! Read my online Yelp posting about the horrible owner and how we were treated by her and her staff....they actually sent home my baby injured and didnt even tell me besides the fact that I paid $65 after detailed instructions on how NOT to cut him as it was hs first so called "professional grooming".... he looked like a clown....and his ass was "sterilized" and shaved bare for the LV sun to fry his hinnie.... I was in shock and didnt even recognize my Sonny Boy! I did not want his tail or face head ears etc cut at all since the ears and tail was his original baby hair ...JUST his legs and body trimmed down for the summer....thank God it has grown out but he licked his pad for weeks after as the shaved the upper pad...didnt even get an appology because as she said..."he looked fine"!  At that point I wanted my money back but, no such luck however she did pay for the medical bills.

Please where can we go so Sonny will NOT be traumatized again ...he practically jumped all 67lbs into my arms when I went to pick him up....and I want him to look like a labradoodle NOT a standard poodle.

Oh, Lisa, I'm  sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I haven't had much luck with groomers here, either. They don't seem to get the "doodle LOOK." Now I scissor-cut Toby myself and I love how it comes out. It's not hard to do, at all. If you'd like, I'll be happy to show you how to do it when Sonny's hair grows out.

I would like to be shown how to do the scissor cut also if possible :-D . I trim Chloe sometimes a little but have still never had her cut short. We will see how she does tomorrow at the groomers getting her 1st shorter cut....

Just a quick note about our groomer in Henderson. Her name is Sherri and she works from her house (she has an entire grooming room built in her garage) she is fully licensed by the city too. Both of my Doodles love her and have never looked better, but best of all she gets both of them done in 2-3 hours! She only works on one customer at a time. Her husband comes out and helps with the bathing to speed things up. She will even take appointments on Sunday. We had switched from a different groomer when Reagan began acting stressed when she had to be groomed. (about a year ago)

We use Hap-E-Dog at Eastern & Sunridge Heights area.  I searched for a doodle haircut from this website and now when I take Cookie to be groomed I give them the picture as well.  So far, so good.
