Stopping puppy food

I recently saw a post in which someone said that you should stop giving puppy food earlier for a mini like at 6 months. I believe they said later for a bigger dog. My vet has not said anything and I was planning on switching at a year old. When did you switch?

I switched Gracie at almost 1 year.
