Do any of you reach down to pet one of your dogs, then end up with two, three, or more furry faces in the way?  How do you approach this issue, do you seperate your dogs for one-on-one time, or have you taught them to take turns?

I think it is pretty normal for one dog to request (require) more attention. Hondo will come up for a pet (butt rub) and Groucho Too sticks his head between. He always needs or wants attention. Hondo is not at all pushy about getting attention. He will walk away when Groucho Too butts in. No matter how much attention he (G.T.) gets, he always wants more when Hondo is getting any attention.
I actually do have to separate my guys for one-on-one time, or Guinness would get absolutely no attention. Murphy is pretty "pushy" and wants ALL of my attention. He's so big that he's able to push Guinness away (actually across the room). I have now started doing separate walks with them once a day, and I also take Guinness alone for "Mommy & Me time". Murphy hates that, but I think it's the only way Guinness will keep his sanity. In the Fall, I'll be doing separate fun things with the boys. Guinness & I will be doing Agility & our Therapy visits, and Murph & I will be back to our obedience classes. I think that will really help both of them.
