Every now and then the site gets a glitch in it. I had this happen once before and so did Nancy (Nancy and Ned). We just shut our computers down and the next day we didn't have a problem.
Maybe your photo is saved as something other than a JPEG photo. I don't think DK will accept anything that is a different file format. Or the size is too big. Check to see if it is a JPEG first. Then check the photo size and resolution. The resolution needs to be under 100 to work on a web based site. Some cameras take the photos in 300 dpi (resolution) which you can't e-mail because the files are too big. I use Photoshop and do all my adjustments and sizing in that program. Just remember that the photo MUST BE a JPEG file.
I can't get photo's to go on a header unless I go through a program that makes them tiny. I just learned to make a collage using picasa and I can re-size it there. Otherwise my photos are too big to do more than let the top edge show on the header.
Okay, I just found this website yesterday. It shows how to make a Photo Collage Banner or for that matter, a Photo Banner for your website. This should give you the sizes that will work across the top of your page. Good Luck!
I always just used some neat picture that I find on Goof=gle images, and saved them in my picture and loaded on to the header.... May be this picture is too big. But I was able to put the same pictures on the body and the sides... Strange.
Your page looks awesome! Love that chocolate. It took me quite a while to change my header this time too. It's all about the sizing. I have a Mac and I have to save the picture to 320 pixels which is a perfect size for the header if you are repeating a pattern. What kind of computer are you using?
Hi Kyoko,
It has been too long since I have changed my header but here are the specs:
Width: 999 pixcels
Height: 189 pixcels
Width 13.878 inches
Height: 2.626 inches
Thanks Joanne, I can never figure out the right size for the header either. I think I have the width, but my height is still toooo big. So I will try your meas.
