Just looking for some feedback here. We purchased a pregnant parti and had 9 beautiful babies in May. To date we still have four still with us. Is this a sign of the times you think or are people really not taking to these guys? I don't know!
Hi everyone, please remember that ALL litter/puppy sales discussions need to remain in the sales groups. For further discussion of buying/selling/cost please take this to the labradoodle puppies for sale group. Thanks! (nobody is in trouble! and the topic started in this discussion is a-ok -- I encourage you to take it to the Breeder's group for more input as well)
What this means is that discussion of the topic at hand is FINE...but if and when the need to discuss a litter/puppy sale it needs to move to private discussion OR to the appropriate group (Breeder's group, or labradoodle puppies for sale group).
Parties are definitely hot - but don't sweat...many people prefer young dogs to puppies. I wouldn't have considered a puppy - but love my parti boy that I got at 8 months.
Yes, with Finn being our first dog, we thought it better he came crate trained, toilet trained, etc - plus we didn't want a pup that had gone through early neutering. Also, we wanted to be sure of his temperament, and thought that by 6+ months it would be determined - which it was. We got exactly what we asked and hoped for - actually way more than.. As well, I liked the idea of homing a puppy who was 'left behind' as it were. We've always felt lucky that he was a little overlooked! My only regret is that I couldn't get to Avonlee to collect him but it was midwinter when he became available. It doesn't bother me that I didn't meet Ann (and Latte), although I'd have liked to, because by the time we got Finn we two had built up a trusting relationship - but it's a shame that because of it I'm now unable to recommend Avonlee in the breeder section - I wouldn't have any hesitation doing so.
Yes you are right. Good point. These guys are probably just victims of the econonmy. They were our first litter so I just didn't know. Of course the breeder that sold mom to us said they were hot. Bad timing on our part. We have kept back one for breeding so in that regard we are ahead of the game and now we wait, right?
When I got my first labradoodle I wanted a chocolate - no doubt. I never even new parti's existed. Once I saw a parti I just HAD to have one. I never in my life had two dogs, but now I do.... probably wouldn't had I not seen the parti's.... I love them both equally obviously... fyi, I have a choc/white parti.
Thanks Lori that is nice to know. I get a good response when people see them for the first time, if "Oh my gosh what is that called?" I think that is good anyway!
