I have to share my evening yesterday because it belonged in a sitcom! I was finally able to laugh today after a good night's sleep - LOL.

So, I had taken my son to an appointment during the afternoon. And my hubby messaged me as soon as I pulled in the driveway. My last response to him before he walked in the door later that evening was, "I'm dreading getting out of this car right now because of what may await me before you get home." (ironic moment) So, I get inside, and there is a big thunderstorm rolling in. So, me and my son race to get Leia out of her crate, feed her and get her to poop before the sky unleashes on us. My son feeds her, and we take her outside. I quickly pooper scoop the yard while he gets her to potty. And we are feeling really accomplished until I look at Leia running after my son up the steps into the house... she has poop stuck on the fur of her bottom. UGH! I started screaming, "Don't let her in the house!" Meanwhile the doorbell rings, and it's my mom (who always has impeccable timing) with my daughter (who is only 3). I tell Josie to get in the house while I'm wrestling holding Leia without getting poop all over myself, apologize to my mom for the quick good-bye, and I grab the wipes thinking I could just catch it and pull it off... Um no, that would be too easy. Instead, it smears all over her bottom and fur. She is only 11 weeks and still getting use to all things grooming, so she is yelping that I'm holding her and wiping her bottom. HAHA! It was sight to see, and I hope my neighbors weren't watching me off their back porches - LOL. Well, I made it worse, and by now the sky is really dark and I hear thunder. My son runs for the dog shampoo and my dishwashing gloves (no longer used for dishes, obviously). I turn on the hose and just douse her in hopes for a quick bath. I should have won an award for the quickness and thoroughness of her bath - it wasn't pleasant for either one of us. HAHA! So, here we are soaking wet (yes, both of us). We run up to the porch and try drying her off, which makes her absolutely crazy. She is pouncing and barking, and I'm just trying to hurry before the lighting starts. SHEESH... We FINALLY step in the door, I collapse on the couch, and my husband walks in the door wondering what just happened bc we are all looking a little frazzled and very wet - LOL. Least to say, he was sweet and volunteered to cook dinner for us :) Here is our little rascal:

What a great story!  LOL!.  And what a cutie pie!  Our dog always goes a little nuts whenever we bath her.  We call her a gremlin - Zoe + water = crazy zoomie dog!

Haha - It's kind of funny because she is SO good after her bath once we get her dry. It's just the bathing process... thankfully it wears her out, and she is a submissive little angel after her bath. Almost as if to say, "I'll be good so we never have to do it again!" Haha...

She is a cutie and looks well worth your sit-com-esque evening. Yay for your hubby and dinner.

Oh yes! She is worth it, and she gives us funny stories to tell always! She is a little hambone :)

Hi, what a cute story, you can almost picture this all happening! , your girl is so cute and looks just like my girl Harper. here is Harper at around 11 weeks, and her now 4 months . I just love her ,I also have her sister Kiera .

Thank you for sharing those pics! That looks so much like Leia, and gives me an idea what she may look like in a few months :) She is a lot of fun, and she has a really funny personality. Definitely keeps us on our toes, and makes us laugh daily! We have our moments, but thats how puppies are... I won't lie and say I'm not excited about her being a little more grown up - haha.

Jenny, thanks for sharing your story. I think we can all see a little of ourselves as you related your day.
Good times!

she is so cute!!

The best advice I was told, was to get your pup used to all things at a young at that you could possibly think you would need to do as an adult dog.

Yes, I was crazed in the beginning, but everytime my pup pooped, I would wipe with wet one. No matter if it needed it or not. I also got him accustomed to stand still while I wipe paws with towel. and brushed his teeth, and groomed him every night.

I can say that at over 1 year old now, this has helped me tremendously as he is now over 30 pounds and to wrestle him to do the wiping would be impossible.

The funny thing is-he smells other dogs butts and looks at them like, "dude, you should really get that thing wiped". lol

Oh, one of 'those' days... LOL! Thanks for sharing.
