Anxious about tonight...

Tonight I go back to work : (

 

Bailey has really been doing great with her crate training at night.  We have quite the routine.  She goes out to potty, night light on, clock ticking, training treats to reinforce only good things happen in her crate, me sitting next to crate for a minute or two max... then off to bed I go.  She settles in really quickly for me.

 

In the AM when my husband gets up for work (4AM), I take her out, give her a chewwie and then back to her crate til about 7AM or so. Again she settles in really nicely for me

 

The problem is tonight I go back to work since getting Bailey.  My husband is "in charge" of getting her settled in at night and getting her up in the AM before he goes to work.  I will be home about the same time she is used to getting up anyway.

 

Bailey has been doing so great that I don't want anything to set her back...I know it will all work out....Just needed to vent a little and express my concerns to people who will understand...

I understand.  I always get so anxious about changing anything up for Remington and he's 2 years old!  I think what I've learned is they adjust to things better than we do.  Don't worry... Bailey will do great I'm sure and then you'll feel silly for worrying :)

totally undestand..hugs...just write down your routine and give it to your husband. Scott is better with written instructions than listening to me..:)

Pups are very adaptable - much more so than children.  But they do get accustomed to their routines.  The problem will probably being to get him to sleep when you get your husband off to work in the morning.  If you have a nice play routine for him in the morning, then he will probably be glad to take an extended nap when you go down for your sleep time.  As you know, that is the main adjustment both of you will be making.
