We decided to use "Go Potty," for Bear when he goes outside. He has gotten so good at it and does it every time we command. The problem is that I will ask my preschoolers from time to time to "Go Potty!" before we leave the house or my preschoolers will say "Oh I have got to go Potty!" You can only imagine what happens everytime we say that and Bear is right there with us. Automatic Potty mode! We have to laugh everytime because it is OUR fault. He is just doing what he is told right on my brick kitchen floor! This has been quite a higher level of thinking activity now because both of my preschoolers have learned to spell potty! They now scream," Mom, I have to got to P-O-T-T-Y!!! Now if we could just get Daddy to spell it to, Bear will have trained our whole family!! LOL

Oh how funny. We use 'go potty' for Harlow too, but she doesn't do it on command. Wish she did!
We use the word "quickies" for pee-pee and "poopy" for poop.
This would have been a much better choice of words!!
Our words are "go do your business" I guess that is too hard to spell out! Enjoyed the story!
Just wait until Bear learns to spell! We had several dogs that learned this. Sometimes we would ask, "Do you need to go for a walk?" or "Do you need to go out?" when they were trying to tell us that they needed to go out. They would go bezerk on us with excitement. We then resorted to spelling W-A-L-K or O-U-T. They eventually learned what that meant. We then had to start spelling backwards.
K-L-A-W or we said the word "klaw" or T-U-O. Hope you don't get to that, but these babies are smart pups so don't be surprised.
Oh my goodness. That is too funny! I think they understand so much more than we think! They really are like having children.
LOL...hilarious...I love it!

Our command is "Be Quick" but Rosco doesn't necessarily pee on command as well as your pup. But Clark has a tendency to tell me to "be quick" when he wants me to hurry up whatever I'm doing. Whenever one of us says that it dawns on us it's also a pee command and we laugh.
You need to tell Clark to talk to your belly and give your little girl pep talks about being quick. When you go into labor he could tell her to "be quick" and she of course will know his voice and maybe she will mind him... or than again, maybe not... nice thought though. :0)
Haha...I LIKE it!
If this works, you would have a best seller for pregnancy books!
Oh too funny!!! you trained Bear well!! I have preschoolers too so I will have to change our potty command!
Great story...we met a family while hiking in northern Wisconsin, who use the words, "Go Park." we could not think of a better one, so we have adopted it. We have only had Pippi for 2 weeks, so we will have to wait and see if it "takes."
