I got a new, bigger crate for Miss Beasley yesterday and she isn't really wanting to go into it .. Anyone else have this problem when they went to a bigger crate ? I'm hoping this is the last one she will have to have .miss%20bea9899.jpg

Bob didn't really want to go in his bigger crate at first. I started giving him treats every time he went in there and put a few bones for him to chew on. Then, the first night he was in there I transferred all his blankets from his old crate and he seemed just fine. Now, when I say go to bed, he bolts for our bedroom and into his crate. (It's probably the treats I give him for doing so, but I like to pretend it's because he really likes it in there).

Thanks so much, I have always giving Miss Bea treats for going in, when she was just being crate trained, I would throw the treats in before after a while I started  holding  the treat and when she went in she got them ..I did that for months, now I'm back to having to throw them in first, she stands at the door and is like 'You really think I'm going in there " she use to want to go to her crate to take naps..I worry she wont like this one :(

We got an identical crate for Boomer this week so he could start sleeping in our room with us. He was a little hesitant, but we just used the same command of 'Nappy Nap!' and pointing at the crate entrance and he was happy enough to go inside.

To make things easier we always bring a few of his toys up into the crate for the 'smell' (we rubbed his more well-used toys all over the place) and put some treats inside. It's been three nights and he hasn't given us any issues. We were concerned he might try to pee, but he holds it in well.

Awesome Miss Beasley did better today , I guess it will just take her a day or two to make sure that it's safe inside !  I just feel sorry for her :(
