christmas tree discovery
Any suggestions on how to get christmas tree sap off a dood's face?! Duke discovered there is water in the bottom of the tree....and was feeling a little thirsty. He's now a tiny bit sticky!

Peanut butter will remove it but you have to work fast it before it dries hard. If it does get hard soften again with a hair drier set on low. Smear the peanut butter on the sap and wait 15 minutes than with fingers or wash cloth clean it off. You may have to repeat. There are several things you can use but because dogs lick their fur the Peanut butter is safe. Good luck.

Hahahaha! Oh no! From experience (with tar, not sap but I'm thinking they'd be similar) my advice would be patience and a baby wipe if you have one. The city laid a small patch of tar on my street and didn't mark it...it didn't look wet but as soon as the pups walked through it, I knew we were in trouble. I sat down with scissors (which you probably don't want to use on his face) and baby wipes and eventually got it all out.

I may eventually need to know this too. Finn hasn't gotten to the water yet but he's chewing branches. He's a stick hound and having a whole tree in the house is awesome!!

Lol! I'm going to be traveling for the next two weeks so I decided not to do a tree this year but my Finn would probably be the same way Tait! He'd be in heaven with an entire tree full of branches and twigs he could munch on! Something to think of before I get a live tree next year!

Hubby suggested WD40. Insert rolling eyes here! Peanut Butter would be my guess. A Dood with a face full of peanut butter ....Kodak moment! ;)

No WD40 or anything toxic to dogs as they will lick it.
