Collar vs. Harness

We use a collar on Molly, but I'm interested to see what everyone else uses and if there's a benefit either way..?

The one that goes around their muzzle is the "gentle leader" - same theory but different style. The one we have is the Easy Walk, where the clip is on their chest. I feel really weird about the muzzle one. Not sure if my pup would like it or hate it, *I* just feel weird using something like that so we've never tried.

I used the Gentle Leader for the first 5 years of Boomer's life. The trick is to introduce the pup to it in very small increments. I clicker trained him so he quickly associated the leader with treats, ans praise and walks. We moved him to the harness later when I had to keep him restrained in a campground.

Big fan of the Easy Walk harness.  In fact, I don't think I'll ever go back to a neck collar + leash (for walks anyway) - harnesses seem to be safer IMHO.  We never had a problem with pulling once we went to the Easy Walk.
