Creative Exercise

I am wondering if anyone has any creative exercise ideas for when we are not able to take our doodle out for a walk for whatever reason: Weather, extra busy day, sickness etc. We have not gotten our goldendoodle yet (Expected litter to be ready to come home between March and May depending). I am trying to use this time to get all our ducks in a row including exercise plans! We have decided on a standard size and our house is not huge. It is decent and open layout but not huge. Anyway, any suggestions?

Have fun and teach good recall. 2 or more of you stand in different room/ areas and call 'puppy' come! And sit and treat when he finds you. Hector loves it and his recall has improved especially when he is out of sight or up to mischeif. But beware too much exercise on little soft joints.

That is a great idea! Thank you! And yes, I have read about too much exercise too soon is not good for them.
