Doodle Kisses on the Mouth?

So we may never know what caused Rooney's illness but one thing they did consider - parasites from eating something outside.  I know it is weird but I do let Rooney lick me on the lips and I'm going to confess that once in a while a tongue has slipped in there a time or two.  Rooney!  So - do you let your doodle kiss your mouth and is there a health risk.  Rooney is the first dog that I've let do this.

Buddy is a licker but not really on the face.  He has a foot fetish!  He loves to lick feet, toes, heels.  He really goes to town on my DH's feet.  LOL

I'm not a real fan of kisses on my mouth.  (When I was a kid and we had dogs I didn't mind it at all.)   Not to get too gross but now and then my Sheba has a few problems with her anal glands and I see her cleaning herself.  Just the smell alone turns my stomach, UGH!!!!  NO WAY do I want her licking my face or mouth.  Luckily, neither dog kisses much, probably because I didn't allow them to lick my face when they were pups.  Actually, I didn't want them close to my face not because of kisses, but I didn't want a puppy nip to my nose.  I do allow them to lick my hands.  Duke always wanted to lick our feet for some reason.  That drives me nuts and I don't allow him to lick my feet.  Once, when I was at my eye doctor's office waiting to be seen, a couple came in with their little dog.  They sat down across from me and the little dog kept licking the man's legs.  The slurping sound was like torture to me!  (Just writing about it makes me shudder.)  When they called me back for my exam I practically ran out of the waiting room!   OK, I admit it, I have problems!  lol

Funny topic, but one many of us can relate to.  My dogs don't kiss me in the mouth, but they do lick my chin when I tell then "kiss".  However, Groucho has a habit of kissing a friend of mine on the mouth.  She is short and he just jumps up and licks her mouth whenever he sees her.  Doesn't even touch her, but licks her right across the mouth.
