Ear infection

I think my puppy has an ear infection.  We just had a horrible grooming experience and she's been shaking her head ever since.  Can feeling bad make her behavior bad also?  She's been acting crazy this week.  She goes to the vet tomorrow to get her ears checked.

If her ears are bothering her, she may shake her head, rub her ears on the floor or on furniture, scratch at her ears! If your dog does not feel good she is not going to her normal sweet self! If they had had to pull a lot of hair from her ears they can be red and sensitive! When I pull the hair from Loo's ear, I keep a close eye on her. If they are bothering her I put a very, very small amount of cortizone cream in and around her ears. It does not take much but it helps with the itching or burning feeling. I hope this helps.

My Sophie developed ear infections after grooming. It got to the point that our groomer doesn't even clean her ears and leaves it to me so as not to hear me going off on her. I have an ear cleaner from the vets that I use. I also use the powder to pluck her ear hairs from the pet store and I've not had any problems.

this groomer just had such a bad attitude about her.  She trimmed too much on her face and said it was becuase Doodle moved.  She said she needs to go to training she doesn't stay very well.  She's been to training and she's a puppy.  I doubt we will be back there for any grooming.  just one of them looks red and her head does smell kind of bad so it may be some kind of infection.

those dang bad groomers ....we had one too ...the bad groomer cut her belly about 5 times I was so upset !!!Go to the vet and have them check it out ....I guess I did ....not sure if my babes ears are ok yet though?

If  there is a bad scent to her ear, chances are good, it is infected.  Hoping the Vet can provide her with some relief.

Once she is back to her normal self, you may want to try the ear powders.  They keep the ear dry and sweet smelling and make it very easy for you to pluck the ear hairs.
