Fretting when left alone.

Lola is about 14 weeks. The first couple weeks we had her she did bark when we left for a few minutes and then she would stop. Starting yesterday I have had to leave for exactly two hours in the mornings and I take her out before I leave and as soon as I get back. However when I get back she has been completely covered in saliva from crying or what her groomer calls fretting. I don't know why this just started but it is really hard because I feel bad for her but I absolutely have to leave for those two hours in the morning. Please tell me what I can do. We do leave toys in her crate with her and have even tried a Kong stuffed with peanut butter. She goes into her crate now for naps during the day and does fine. She even doesn't mind if we go upstairs and leave her downstairs. Why she was fine the first two weeks I don't know. Thanks in advance for any advice.
