Griffin pukes in The Middle Of The Night a couple times a week ( in his crate at the foot of my bed)

So gross to wake from a deep sleep to hear your pup heaving over and over, puking and eating it right back up. EW.  Ususally around 5am.  Last night was 2am. Zzzzzzzz.

He came back clear for worms.  He eats and poops fine. He's growing and happy and (very) active.  Help!

He eats dinner around 8pm.  Why would he do this so many hours later, after having been asleep??

more coffee... (for me lol)

Have you tried feeding him earlier? Our last meal for Laila is 6pm.

Judith, what is the puke like? Is is yellow or whitissh bile? If so, Griffin's tummy is probably empty. Try giving him a little something to eat right before bedtime. Check the discussions here for "yellow bile."

Thank you so much Susan. it was whitish.  I will try to search that here now. Especially b/c he did it again last night!

(he also ate half of a snake skin in the woods last night before Mike could get the rest away from him - EWWW!)

Edited to add: those posts described him perfectly! We'll add a late night snack and see if that does the trick - thank you!!!!!

His tummy is empty. I agree.  Try feeding him later or  smaller meals more often.  Do you just feed three times a day or do you leave his food out all the time.

For us, we need to leave the food out and let him decide when and how much to eat. Works for us.

Three times a day. Will be adding a bedtime snack tonight :-)

Hopefully he didn't eat something he wasn't supposed to have. We've experienced that with Oliver. And yes, hopefully feeding him earlier helps, what a cutie Griffin is!
