He's Here!
Our puppy came Sunday! He is just a bundle of fun! The car ride home he pretty much slept the whole time, but threw up 3 times. He is doing well with our other female dog. I have a few questions : How to keep our other dog out of the new puppy's cage? And, he HATES his collar and leash. How to get him used to it? He won't even walk around if we put him on it. Thanks guys!

What I did with my now dearly departed Barkley was just say, "No." in a firm voice and then turn my attention to something else. Barkley would go do something else just like your little dude but eventually he got the message... he wouldn't get any positive attention for the nipping, so he stopped. It took a bit -- up to a month or so but he'll get the message if you keep it up! :)

He is adorable!!! My pup hated his collar too, but I just slipped it on anyway and left it. He got used to it. Have fun!

Congrats on bringing Fezzik home! Love the Princess Bride...inconceivable...hehehehe! Fezzik is precious!!!
I do not have any solutions regarding the leash/collar and other dog in the crate.
I do have a couple suggestions regarding nipping. When we had brought Bailey home, he was probably the nippiest puppy I had ever seen! I had bite marks to prove it. We always had toys or bully sticks near by when Bailey started to nip. We would say in a very firm voice, "NO BITE," and put the toy/bully stick in his mouth. If he stopped nipping and chewed on the toy/bully stick, then we immediately praised him for chewing on the toy and not us. I also agree with Katie regarding ignoring him. That is a great strategy as well.
