Hello from Finley Franklin

I wanted to say hello and introduce myself as I am new to the forum/group. I have an 11 week old double doodle, Finley Franklin, and also an 8 year old chocolate cocker spaniel. It's funny, I have seen lots of similarities with the two breeds so far, both just awesome breeds. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group, most people are unfamiliar with the double doodle breed and I've always had cocker spaniels so I will probably be looking for lots of advice! Welcome to doodle kisses and congrats on your ADORABLE Finley! So a double doodle is a labradoodle x golden doodle, right? Is he an F1 to F1 cross?

Thank you! Yours is quite cute as well!!! Yes, his dad was a goldendoodle (F1) and his mom was a labradoodle (F1). He is a mini so he will only be 20lbs full grown. I had actually never heard of this breed before but my vet highly recommended this breed and my breeder after some really bad genetic issues with my cockers. So far I am in love!

Double the doodle but half the size a great combo. We have a standard double doodle I think an f2 or f1 back cross. Most people think I just made up her breed and look really confused when I try to explain it.

Lol, I get those same stares! And have been doing the same thing...I just say "golden doodle" which few people know either but it's a bit easier to understand. :)

We have a double doodle too...he's 10 months old, his name is Oskar.  Mom is an F1 goldendoodle & dad is an Australian labradoodle.  People that aren't doodle people don't understand all the different doodles...I just call him a goldendoodle when people ask :)

I will for sure have to join the double doodle group, I didn't see that one but ill go back and look again. I think they are a perfect combination of golden, lab, and poodle. ;0). I am just completely falling in love with the breed! And I love the name oskar and how you spelled it!
