Help Food Crisis!

I live in a small, rural town in Idaho and the only store that carries the Innova puppy food I am feeding, had a mix up with their last order and won't be getting my food in until friday. The 30# bag I buy was due in last Friday, so I only bought a 15# when I ran out last time thinking I would have plenty when the order arrived. Now due to the mistake, I am going to run out of Cooper's food today. He is 6 months old and I really don't want to give him puppy diarrhea for just one day of different food. Will he be okay with a food change for just a day now that he is 6 months?  Are there ways to minimize the negative impact of the food adjustment? I know that many of you are wise in the ways of dogs and I was just hoping for any advice to make this food situation easier on Cooper.

I could be totally off base here, but if it were me (since it is only one day), I would just feed him people version of what is in his Innova...protein source, carb, etc. So if there is chicken, rice, potato in the Innova...just cook some up for him. I think that would be better than a completely different kibble that has so many variables in it.

What can I say, "Duh!" Thanks so much for helping me see the simplicity of this situation. You were so right about just making him some food - I can't believe that I didn't think of this myself. Cooper thanks you too - he loved his dinner of rice, chicken and yellow squash from our garden. Thanks for helping me see the trees in the forrest - greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much - I had even forgotten that there was a food group. But upon your suggestion I went there and found all kinds of great ideas. Laura was soo right so I just made Cooper a great dinner feast. thanks for the help. "Crisis" averted. LOL :)

Hi! Now Charlie is just on Wellness, but I used to keep her on two different food for the similar situations. She was mainly on FROMM, which I can only get from the certain store, so I had her also on Halo, which I can get from major pet store. In case if I missed that store with FROMM food, I can get to the other store and get her Halo, and she was fine.
