Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Took Trixie for a walk today. Not very long. Shorter then alot of our walks. We were Joined by my DD & her 2 dogs- Which is more exciting (we have done this many times) And it finally was a little warmer here- Probably 63. A Nice strong wind, Not a lot of sun.

Anyway Trixie got so hot & panty. Way worse then my Black dogs did here in the summer. What will she do when it really is hot & she has more fur?

I have read posts on this forum where others say their Doodles pant so much.

Is this just a Doodle trait?

With Rosco a few degrees make a huge difference.  Once it hits 70's he acts like it's 90!

This is amazing! I haven't been on this group for a very long time, but Molly, who just turned a year, also pants alot. And she also sweats through her paw pads. We have been a little concerned about the panting, which is unbelievable after she runs hard outside. she seems okay though. Maybe it is a doodle trait.

Henry gets hot too.  I have noticed he will try and sit with me and he gets hot, goes to the other end of the couch panting.  Cools down and comes back ...repeat cycle.  LOL
