There are lots of recipes for stuffing kongs and freezing them online. Someone recently posted this: http://www.k9instinct.com/blog/frozen-kong-dog-treat-recipes
I agree, watch out for the content you're giving. It might be too fatty. You can always dilute it with water and use your daily kibble allowance too!
that is what we did with our puppy. ONLY crate time he got a Kong. I filled it with kibble and squeezed peanut butter just on the top. I am one that never gave water or food in the crate and he has done fine. (I never left him for long hours as a pup..max time gone was 3 hours) After almost two years, he now associates leaving with KONG treats. We are now out of the crate, but still only give the Kong when we leave. In fact, when he sees me filling up the Kong, he goes to his bed....waiting for me to say goodbye.
This is good to know! I've read and heard lots of good things about Kongs. I got a kong binkie, and kong goodie bone, regular kong, and puppy filling stuff. Can't wait to get Banks crate trained and kong loving! He comes home in 4 weeks.
