Hi all- My puppy is 4 months and just started losing his puppy teeth.  How long does this process take and will he be less "bitey" after his new teeth come in??? Thanks!

Losing the puppy teeth takes a couple of months. Once the puppy teeth are gone the adult teeth take quite a while to grow in completely. At eight months, yarrow's adult teeth are still not fully grown so she is still teething and wants to chew things. At four months old a lot of the biting is typical puppy play. It will stop.

Thanks!  Yes, still so much biting, as a part of his play.  Some days are very hard, but we are pushing through!

The best thing is the new teeth are not as sharp!  Expect to find blood when he chews...

Looking forward to that - no more little razors!

The good news is, those teeth are not the razor sharp needles we have all felt. He will be teething for months, so expect to find swollen gums, traces of blood on chew toys and bones. They sell quite a few toys that can be frozen and provide relief for those swollen gums. Expect to find, or hear the rattle of teeth going up the vacuum. I have about 5 or 6 I found with Enzo.
