Abby was spayed two days ago,she was potty trained before the operation..Now she just sits down and pees in the house, like she really doesn't care.Have you experienced the same??
I can't see it to be an UTI,infections normally don't develope so fast.
Is it a normal thing they go through?
I would just get an eye on her. Any surgery, even a minor one, is taxing on our system as I am sure it was on Abby. She will most likely be back to her old self in a few days. Just keep up the potty training like you did on the get go and she will be her little old self once again after the affects of the surgery wear off. Just keep an eye on her and if you sense something wrong...take her back to the vet. PS I used to slip a small plastic lid under my dogs to catch their pee instead of taking them in if I thought they had a bladder infrection. I don't think that she has one though too quick right the spaying. good luck fr Molly and Lizette in TX
Marion, we did not experience that with Wrigley, who just had her stitches out on Tuesday. She acted very hesitant to go outside at first, though. I thought that Wrigley truly acted like she had just had a major surgery for a day or two, so maybe Abby is just in shock right now. Hopefully she'll get better very quickly. If it continues, though, you may want to give the vet a call tomorrow.
Well, thanks for all your answers. She is acting like she never had surgery,I mean I wish humans would recover that fast.
But I do have her crated to give her the rest she needs. She just wants to be her crazy puppy self.
But her wound looks great and we just get her out more often.
Happy Thanksgiving !!
