I am at a loss. Macy is 4 months old and I'm still having issues with her pooping and peeing in her crate while I'm at work everyday. I feed her at 5:45am and let her out. Her kennel is smaller so she only has enough room to turn around. I am gone from 6:30am- 3:30pm M-F. There is no one to let her out during that time. Then I feed her at 6:30 pm. I don't know what to do?? I am thinking of only giving her a little water in the AM and only feed her once a day when I get home from work at 3:30pm. Then she will have time to work it out all evening. Maybe a couple treats in the morning after peeing to give her a little food. Any suggestions??? When I clean the kennel I use Shaklee Basic G and white vineger/water mixture to eliminate the smell.
Thanks. I have thought about locking her in my utility room and make a pee area. I am just scared at 17 weeks she will become destructive and scratch up my doors or woodwork. I don't know what to do. We'll see.

I think the general rule of thumb for how long to expect a puppy to hold its bladder is its age in months plus, one to get the total hours a puppy should be able to hold it. I don't know if that's true, but that's what I've heard. Good luck!
