Puppy Proofing?

We pick up Griffin tomorrow at 9am!! Wheeeeee!  Um, so I'd better get to puppy-proofing the house I suppose!  Advice? I've already removed the houseplants and talked to the kids about leaving things on the floor (kinda worried about that one.)

Yeah....the kids things are probably going to be the biggest issue.  :)  But just enjoy and post pictures!

Congrats on your new puppy !  Auggie loves paper so anything on the fridge, tables etc are going behind the couch for him to eat later.  He also has chewed cords and pulled dish towels out of their holders.  Our biggest issue is the yard where he wants to eat everything including bark and rocks.  We fenced him off a section of yard to limit what he could get into.

You are gonna be sooo blesssed by having Griffin!  We brought Whidbey home on February 23rd, and our life is so enriched and we absolutely are BESOTTED with her! 

They say Doodles are THE BEST dog you could ever own- and even though Whidbey is, at 12 weeks, smack in the peak of her puppy stage- she is awesome!!  Even though she doesn't live with children- the kids in the neighborhood come and knock on the door and ask, "Can Whidbey come out and play with us?"  They play with her in the culdesac, and she is naturally wonderful with them!

I have a 10 month old goldendoodle. She just started grabbing the newspaper and books from the family room. Besides removing these things any other ideas on how to stop her.
