Rude Puppy Moment...

Today as I was trying to talk on the phone to the nurse at my son's school Chopper came over to me and just started barking at me. :/ Once I was off the phone I told him how rude he was, then he went back to his favorite spot and took a nap. WTH?! Really?! I thought only the kids acted up when I am on the phone. I hope this does not become a habit. 

Chopper: Bark (MOM!),Bark (MOM!), Bark (MOM!)........

Me: What!?

Chopper: Looks at me then walks away... (Nothing)  /:)
Me: sigh....

My Roux does this to me, too! As soon as she hears me say "hello", she could be in the deepest sleep and STILL jump up and start barking at me. Our little doodles just love attention :)

Here's what you do pretend to be on the phone several times and act very animated that way you can correct him and teach him not to butt into your conversation. I work from home and went through this it got to the point that I would pick up the phone and then go outside to talk! I think that they think you are talking to them! Lol.

Haha! That's pretty bad if you have to go outside because of the dog. I will try your suggestion.

Oh, I dare not be on the phone if the UPS man comes by! I'm working on the chaos that he causes!! Lol

HAHAHAA!!  Sorry!

I am laughing because they are sooo smart, they are just like kids!!  I also work from home and am on the phone all day.  I have learned that rawhide chewies can be your best friend on serious phone conversations!  I also make sure to give Whidbey lost of loves and attention inbetween phone calls.  

Eventually they will get better.  Whidbey knows she doesn't get my reaction when I am on the phone, and she is learning now to sit quietly for the most part.  We still have a few episodes, and luckily most of the people I talk to LOVE hearing about my adorable goldendoodle- which of course follows emailed pics of her and an invite to check out my FB page!  haha!

Laughing and nodding here - both of my guys act up when I'm on the phone, as bad as toddlers! The tech support dude from Charter 'bout died laughing one evening when I said "Pardon me for a moment" and then turned to the boys and said indignantly "Excuse me! Grown-ups talking here!"

I was thinking to myself while he calmed down, "I can't believe I just said that."

Zoe gets really happy when someone is on the phone!  She doesn't bark at us but gets up, wags her tail, sits with us, tries to lick us, and does her happy dance.  We don't know why she does this
