Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hey guys, I'm new to the group. We have a labradoodle who is about 4 1/2 months old. He's doing really well on obedience work and general house training but we're having one problem and I'm hoping that you guys might be able to offer some help.

Whenever he's left alone at all, he poops or pees. If I'm in the living room and go to the bathroom, he'll start whine at being left alone (it's not the same "I have to pee" sound he makes) and then he poops or pees before I can make it back in the room. We're crate training him and it's going really well but it seems like when he gets anxious like this, he's losing it.. on the floor. It has even happened within 10 minutes of taking him out to the toilet, then I ran up to my bedroom from the kitchen and pow, again, whine and pee/poop. It's only happened a couple times but we'd like to get it figured out before it becomes a problem.

I think it sounds like seperation anxiety. My dog did the same thing the other day when I put her in her kennel. She pee'd and poo'l right away. Then she would get me up every night to take her out to pee. last night I put her kennel next to my bed and she never woke me all night and never pee'd. yeah. I would ask the vet. I think she could get something for this. Goodluck
