Hello all :)

Sister is now 4 months old and is doing great.  She was almost 6 weeks without any accidents inside but we just moved into a townhouse last week which is in a much louder area than our condo was so she was a tad nervous of outside and had a pee on the rug one afternoon.  After a few days she has adapted well and really enjoys having more space to play.  She is still crated if we leave for a long periods of time but if I am only running to the grocery store I allow her to roam free and so far so good!  I am hoping in a few more weeks we'll be able to allow her to have her freedom downstairs while my partner and I work.  I am anxious all day knowing she is in her crate but my father comes and walks her every other day when he is off work.  We looked into getting a dog walker but in my town they were charging $30 a visit and that is out of my price range.

Sister is super attached to me (since I was home all summer with her) and she has become my best friend ha ha (I'm not crazy saying that right?).  She loves people and we are currently working on her politeness and not jumping up on people when they enter.  She sleeps great in her crate at night and often goes to bed herself when she is tired.

Walking with her has been a challenge recently.  We now walk her with a harness because she was pulling so much I felt she was hurting and choking herself.  She still pulls a lot but I am diligent in teaching her to heel and sit down before we cross the road.  Every walk she seems to get better (unless she sees another dog she wants to play with).  She knows sit, down, roll over and shake a paw so far and loves to fetch.  Since I got her FOUR of my friends/co workers have contacted our breeder to put a deposit down for their own doodle.  I can't say enough good things about the breed and some days I think I even want another!

I'll attach some photos of my little girl.  Thanks to everyone in this community for all your posts and advice.  I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have doodlekisses when I first got her!

Regards,

Stefan & Sister

OMG! Sister is sooo cute! I'm a little jealous she went six weeks without an accident. Bentley is almost 12 weeks, & still has accidents. (I know I shouldn't compare...lol)! Sister is a smart little doodle :)

She got onto bell training on the second day, it was crazy!  Ever since that it has been smooth sailing even the night she had an upset stomach she was able to make it outside each time.  I feel very lucky!

Bentley is such a handsome little guy!

I guess I should get some bells. I was afraid Bentley would just play with them.

Sister put them in her mouth once and I just told her no in my deep scary voice and she never did again.  She is pretty good at remembering what we let her play with and don't.  Though if we have any female visitors who wear sandals that have straps she grabs them and runs no matter how many times we say no :P

At age 3, Sadie still likes to steal visitors' shoes. She couldn't care less about mine!

Ha ha I can relate.  My partner and my shoes aren't as interesting as the shoes my girlfriends wear I guess!  Sister just has good taste :P

She is adorable.

Thank you :)

That pic of the two of you together is priceless!

Makes me miss being off all summer!  All I think about at work is how she is doing at home!

OMG so cute!!! I'm so jealous that she sleeps through the night. I've given in and Desmond now sleeps in the bed with us.
